Hsu
Pianist Chia-Chi Hsu received
her BM and MM degrees from the Peabody Institute
of the Johns Hopkins University in 1994
and 1995 respectively, where she has studied
with Vera Danchenco and Ellen Mack.
Having displayed her natural talents in
chamber music and accompanying, Chia-Chi Hsu
received full scholarship as Peabody Opera
Accompanying Assistant, and the Clara Asherfeld
Award. After returning to Taiwan, Ms. Hsu
continues to receive awards and recognitions
in her excellence in accompanying. She was
the Pianist Designate in numerous master classes
featuring world-class artists such as Ileana
Cotrubas, Thomas Grubb, Marlena Malas, Walter
Moore, Corradina Caporello to name a few.
In 2000, she has collaborated with flautist
Peter-Lukas Graf in his recital tour in Taiwan.
Later, she collaborated with flautist, Robert
Aitken in 2001 Taiwan and in 2002 Tongyeung
International Music Festival, Korea. Chia-Chi
Hsu has also been invited to tour with various
artists and groups throughout China, Japan,
New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, and Malaysia.
Having
accompanied over 300 concerts, Ms. Hsu’s
performance engagements keep her busy throughout
the years. She is a recording artists for
an independent label Sunrise in Taiwan.
Ms. Hsu is currently a faculty at National
Taipei Normal College.
