Ho
Violist Chun-Heng Ho graduated
from the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris
and
Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique
de Paris, with diplomas in chamber music
and viola performance. While in Paris, Mr.
Ho has studied with Prof. Maurice HUSSON,
Prof. Dominique RICHARD and world-renowned
French violist Prof. Gerard CAUSSE. He furthered
his study in orchestra performance with
Jean DUPOUY and Laurent VERNEY.
In 1989,
Chun-Heng Ho captured the 1st Prize in the
U.F.A.M. viola competition in France. In
1990, he joined the Northern Germany Music
Festival and participated in the orchestra
comprised of young talents from all over
the world. Lead by conductors Solti and
Rostropovich, the orchestra toured throughout
Germany, Milan and Sicily. In 1991 Mr. Ho
represented the school to perform in Morocco.
1992, Mr. Ho won full scholarship to attend
Villecroze and received coaching from the
YSAYEString Quartet, in addition, he also
attended Tibur Varga Festival and received
coachings from Nobuko IMAI and was selected
to perform in the festival recital.
In 1994, After
joining a contemporary orchestra 2E2M in
France, Mr. Ho toured extensively in Europe
and appeared at numerous international contemporary
music festivals to name a few, Portugal,
Cypruss, Romania and Paris National Radio.
Chun-Heng Ho is currently Principal Violist
at the Taipei Symphony Orchestra and Taipei
Philharmonic Orchestra. He is a faculty
at the Taipei National University of the
Arts and Fu-Jen Univeristy.
