Program Detail:
This intensive and
comprehensive two and a half week program
includes numerous individual lessons, master
classes, seminars, forums, student recitals
and faculty concert. Each student receives
private instructions from all faculty members
of chosen instrument (piano or violin).
Undoubtedly, it will be a rewarding and
enlightening experience for participants
of all ages.

Violin---5 individual lessons, one individual
appointment for bow maintenance, 4 Master

Liu will teach master classes open to the
public.
Violin Master Classes─Faculty members Keng-Yuen
Tseng and Dmitri Berlinsky will teach master
classes open to the public.
Piano Seminars─Pianist
Chia-Chi Hsu will share with participants
her numerous stage experience as well as
her knowledge of being a professional accompanist;
meanwhile, pianist Pei-Yee Lee, will present
to participants her extensive knowledge
in performance injury and its prevention,
a subject which all musicians need to be
aware of.
String Seminars─World-renowned
bow maker, 1987 The STRAD magazine, 2004
Los Angeles Times and 2004 Smithsonian magazine
featured character─Yung Chin, will present
to participants his extensive knowledge
in the history of bows and string instruments,
its maintenance, and restoration. This will
be an eye opening experience for mostly
performance-geared participants.
Faculty Forum─Festival
faculty members will gather together, to
share with participants and parents, their
very own personal experience as musicians.
Topics also include potential problems students
may encounter in their learning process
as well as providing insights to the becoming
of professional musicians, their lives,
and training process.
